About Shadrach Webb — The Dogumenter

I’m Shadrach — a dog photographer, storyteller, and founder of The Dogumenter.

I create lifestyle, editorial, and fine art portraits of dogs — photographs that honor their individuality and the bond they share with their people. Whether displayed in homes, featured in print, or shared online, my work celebrates dogs exactly as they are: joyful, quirky, and unforgettable.

My journey began in 2018 when I photographed my friend’s dog, Ellie, and watched her personality come alive through the lens. That moment changed everything for me — and The Dogumenter was born, inspired by my love of dogs, a good pun, and an old YouTube series I hosted called Dogumentaries. Since then, I’ve been chasing tails (literally) — creating images that feel alive and honest.

Based in Walla Walla, Washington, I work with dog lovers, brands, and shelters near and far. Clients describe my work as heartfelt, genuine, and full of life. Whether I’m photographing beloved family pets, crafting brand campaigns, or helping a shy shelter dog feel seen, I bring patience, intuition, and a playful energy that helps dogs feel comfortable. I’m not afraid to lie in the dirt, whistle silly tunes, or talk to dogs like little humans — whatever it takes to capture their essence.

Beyond the camera, I’m a night owl, gamer, and vintage camera collector who thrives on creativity and connection. You’ll find me working in the quiet hours of the night, slipping puns into conversations, or hunting for hidden treasures at yard sales. I’m also deeply committed to giving back — creating work that matters, reusing and donating whenever I can, and helping dogs of all kinds feel valued.

For me, photography is about more than just pictures — it’s about honoring the story of each dog and celebrating the place they hold in our lives.

If you’re ready to capture your dog’s story, bring your brand to life, or help a shelter dog shine, I’d love to work with you.
